Rhizomes
Tis the season, so has anyone out there got any rhizomes going?
I'm not fussed on variety at the moment, just wanna see if they'll grow in Palmy North.
I've got my place with the potential to grow them a little out of town, but just want to see how well they'll go first.

Hops grow very well in Palmy. The main things to be careful of is clay if you're on a river terrace and the wind.
My first year hops gave a pretty good hops gave a good crop, and my Mystery German in coming away well at the moment.
The Fragrant Garden in Feilding has Mystery German and Smoothcone.

I managed to get a Smoothcone and Mystery German this morning from Ian at the Fragrant Garden. Last Smoothcone he had in stock as well! Hope to get them out on the garden tomorrow weather permitting :-)
