I saw this post and would like to put together a similar setup. I see Bunnings sell disposable oxygen cylinders and would like to source a regulator for one. Anyone done this before or know what reg to buy?

Failing that, can anyone detail a different setup and where to get the bits (tank/reg) required?

Cheers for the link, but all the links in that post are dead. I'll try emailing http://www.thegasshop.co.nz/ though.

Please let us know if you sort it out

I've been looking at this recently too - the Gas Shop has what you need:

regulator

gas bottle

Cheers, I have emailed them asking if those exact items are the ones to get. I take it you have brought them and the are working as expected?

Haven't bought any yet, but have done plenty of looking around. These look equivalent to what everyone overseas is using. When it comes to using pure oxygen, pays not to take chances - can go bad really quickly if you're not using proper gear.

I'm looking to invest in this gear in the next couple of months - still making good beer without it so it will be interesting to see if my higher gravity beers show improvement...

Just an update, I ordered the reg and bottle from http://www.thegasshop.co.nz (Note that 'thegasshop' is the 'consumer' website for http://www.galprostylex.co.nz/ ) on Thursday 5th Nov:
GT220500 REGULATOR FOR DISP OXY BOTTLE
GT480300 OXYGEN GAS DISPOSABLE BOTTLE 310GM

They arrived this morning. Unfortunately the regulator is damaged (bent barb) and it looks used (blister pack was taped shut). I've emailed galpro, hopefully I'll hear from them soon. As the gear is damage I can't test it yet.

Very quick response from galpro! New reg arrived this morning, hopefully I'll have time to have a play with the setup tonight, otherwise it'll have to wait to brew day this weekend.

Good to hear, please let us know how it goes.
Set up works well! I happened to have some 5mm medical grade flexible tubing with attachments on each end that fit both the reg and the sintered air stone perfectly. Dropped the stone into the water and turned on for 60 secs. Some bubbling resulted. Beer is still fermenting currently. I'll see if I can't get some pics together this week and I'll post a link here.
