Hi All

I'm looking to upgrade to a larger kettle.

I currently have  a 31L save barn pot but am slowly starting to upscale .Any recommendations on what to buy   ie with  ball valve etc.

I have a chilly bin mash tun and will use the old pot as an HLT.

Cheers Craig

Hi Craig

It all depends on how many $$$ you want to bling... and what your desired kettle is to be.

There are a number of Stainless Stock pots (from 35 to 100litres) on TM that you can pickup, or old 50Litre kegs, and then convert to a kettle.

If going electric then you will need to source elements etc

Occasionally you will find something to meet your need for sale on TM.

Other wise hit the HB shops (http://www.inibrewsupply.com/boil/) for prebuilt kettles with all the blng or this for BIAB (http://thebrewhouse.co.nz/beer/6040l-nestled-pot). I still think you need to add elements to these yourself if desired.

Best advise of all... have a look at the forums etc to see what other people have built or purchased to use.

Make a keggle, way better stainless than most cheap pots. old kegs are round 80$ on tm, then grind a opening to fit what ever lid you have.

Can recommend Chris Bank's stuff, his vessels are works of art and good price especially given level of craftsmanship
