So looking back it looks like the last time a get together was organise was about a year ago. I was thinking about New Year's resolutions today and thought I should really get out there and met some other brewer.

I was also thinking that if it was to be a more regular, standard, occurance it would be nice to not have to organise where the next one will be held, etc. so what about meeting up at Brewers Bar for a couple of beers and talk some crap.

Was also thinking about starting up that case swap, my thoughts were if we brought XX amount of bottles to the monthly meeting (if you have anything you want to share/get feedback on) we can divide them up during the meeting, drink at home and then give feedback on here or at the next meeting.

So what are your guys thoughts? I'm slaughter at work until next year so maybe the first or second week of 2013 - Thursday night? or would everyone prefer a weekend night?

Cheers guys!

Sweet as. I'll bring alone some bottles of Pale ale, but the porter will have to wait for next month.

Cheers,

Matt

Doh.  Didn't see this catch-up until Matt's message came through via email today - and I am busy again this Thursday.  Still keen to catch up - will do my best not to bail again next month!  My porters (vanilla / coffee) should be good to swap next month.  Must reclaim my brewing gear from storage and put another brew down as my stocks are very low.

Damn, sorry Gary. Still figuring out what the best way to contact everybody is. How about we pencil in Thursday 4/4/13 for next months one now! Keen to ty some of the porter (if you can keep it around till then) and hopefully I'll bring alone my brown porter too.
Cheers!

Sounds good.  Have started following this thread now...

Hey Noel, Just wanted to check when you bottled the beer. It has been sitting patiently carbonating but now I am getting an itch to try it.

G'Day Matt, it was only bottled on the 2nd March, i resisted the urge to try one tonight as i thought i ought to give it 2 weeks at least.

I sampled your KPA saturday night whilst camping in the Whirinaki (plus a couple of Hancock Red Ales) and struggled to find my way back to the tent! Beautiful mixture of NZ hops plus a nice strong malt backbone, very enjoyable quaffing out in the evening sunshine.

Cheers

Hey Noel, have you had a try of your beer yet? I'll be sticking them in the fridge tonight for the weekend. It's been a struggle holding off!

Hey guys, I'll repost this for any non-group memebers following this.

Another month down already. Next catch up on at Brewer's Bar - 04/04/13 @ 8 pm.
Come down, have a beer and a yarn. If you have a brew you want some feedback on bring it along.

Cheers,
Matt

I'll hopefully be bringing along some of my Brown Porter that I might be contributing to the NZ case swap, it will be good to get some feedback before sending it off around NZ!

Sounds good.  I finally got organised and grabbed my gear out of storage, back into brewing this sunday :-)  I will bring along a few porters for feedback - I split a batch - 1/2 vanilla porter, 1/2 coffee porter.

Hi Matt, i'll see you there, no new brews i'm afraid.

Cheers

Noel

Sweet as guys, see you tomorrow!
Hey Gary, tried the porters. Nice, very strong coffee and vanilla aromas. The coffee I could smell straight away after popping the cap, the flavour was pretty intense too. What/how did you do to infuse the coffee?
The vanilla porter had a nice aroma and flavour, more subtle than the coffee and it worked well. Again how did you infuse the flavours?
