Looking for a part time job and or unpaid experience in brewing/beer
I have quit my current job, after 20 years in IT, to pursue a career in craft beer, which has become my real passion over the last 5 years or so. I'm taking a year off to learn, brew (first grainfather brew day is imminent) and hopefully pick up some casual or not so casual work in and around craft beer.
I'm also doing a 5 day master brewers course in Auckland over labour weekend, run by Costanza brewing, to get me started and give me a fuller knowledge of processes and problems to avoid etc.
From November I'll be available to help out (cleaning, anything really) wherever needed in breweries around Auckland, I'm keen on any opportunities (paid or otherwise) that would give me experience in the industry. I am based in Riverhead and can travel.
If you are a brewer and need a hand, even just for a day here and there, feel free to get in touch.

I emailed them a while back to see if they had any advice on starting out in the craft beer industry, but didn't get any response at the time.
I will try them again as they are one of my favourite brewers, Citra being my favourite NZ beer. Plus I think they brew out of Hallertau, which I live 10mins away from, which would be perfect.
