Kegging
Looking at doing a keg set up, Is it cheaper and easyer to go with the brew craft setup or designing your own set up, and getting the bits from the likes of Craft brewer, etc?

This is the unit I'm looking at.
Looks expensive for a bunch of nipples, T's and valves until you start pricing up the valves. What I'd like to do is split it half way and put my secondary regulator in the middle. So I'd have two higher pressure outlets and two lower pressure outlets. The only problem I'll run into with that is I think the threads are NPT and I'm pretty sure my regulator is BSP, and I doubt I'd find an adapting nipple here. NPT and BSP are pretty close IIRC but dunno if it's close enough for gas.

You can build a 4 way one at norgens for a hundy, an dont you only need a non return on the gas before the reg.

Hey, Question on Corny Kegs. Mine has just started to leak through the beer out disconnect(when disconnect unplugged the ball valve doesn't leak). I have replaced the o ring on the outside ball valve which i thought would be the cause but no. Have got 2 kegs and 2 disconnects 1 keg no leaks with either disconnect 1 keg leaks through either disconnect. Any Ideas?

Get some food grade lubricant on it, sounds like the ball valve is a little sticky!

With the NZ dollar looking pretty good against the US it seems a good time to buy in some kit from there so was thinking about getting organised for kegging. My main question for those who already do it is: what's your gas bottle situation? Anyone able to comment on using sodastream gas bottles (nice and easy to slot into the fridge alongside the kegs, but where the hell do you get an adaptor to fit them to the regulator), or is BOC/fire extinguisher the way to go?

Vdog, trust me with this, front up the cash and buy a Co2 bottle, you wont regret it, I paid $250 for my 3.5kg bottle and ive only had to refill it once in over a year, so it lasts ages!! Better than paying Boc a rental fee!
