Hi beer people, I havn't posted for ages I've been building a new setup and I'm nearly finished, I have re used my old immersion chiller for a herms coil I put the whole thing in its pretty big, I would prefer to reduce its length to the minimum it needs to be rather than its full length.

How long does this need to be?  Can anybody who has experience building one of these shed some light on this? I'm using 3/8" copper its in a 50l vessel (automated gas fired) connected by swaggelok compression fittings to pump line etc

Thanks

I would be inclined to leave it full length if you have room.
