Heat treatment for hops

Hi guys. I recently ordered a bunch of hops from Yakima Valley in the USA and they arrived today, minus the amarillo dust which has been stolen detained by MAF due to, I assume, not strictly being palletised. It's going to cost me $15 to get them heat treated and sent on to me. I'm not worried about the cost so much as I am about the heat treatment. Will this pretty much bugger them, as I kind of assume it will? Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing?
