Gladfields US Ale Malt Colour vs Pale Ale

What specialty malts were in the recipe? I did a smash beer with Gladfields American Ale malt and it came out lighter than other pale malts I have been using.

Must have been.. the Gladfields site lists is as half a point lighter than their normal Pale ale malt.

 

Used it a while ago and it came out quite pale yellow but not as pale as lager/pilsner malt.

Yeah it was supposed to be smash with just us ale in the order. Didn't see any special malts as I poured it into the tun. All the same its a nice amber colour so I'm quite happy. Munich malt?

Could be.. might be too sweet to tell but does it taste like munich...?

Yes it is quite sweet. I quite like it, I'll try the recipe again with Munich and then I'll know for sure.
