Well I wasn't able to attend the Wellington WBC gathering on the weekend, busy painting. But I was able to make some awesome steak burgers for the test.

What I did was maranade some rump steak in Renaissance Scotch Ale for 2 days with some garlic, rosemary and thyme.

Added some fried ham and some nice swiss cheese and tomatoe relish.

Was pretty awesome.

What sort of recepies do you have using beer as an ingredient?

Hair of the Gods (Sunday morning coffee, drink this instead of going to church, or just before).

You'll need:
Supreme Coffee beans (Supreme blend)
A 330ml bottle Yeastie Boys PKB (anywhere from Wellington winter back doorstep temp, up to cellar temp)
Preferably an espresson machine
A large latte glass, cup or a mug

Make a short black (or ristretto), directly into the glass/cup/mug
Pour the entire Pot Kettle Black bottle on top.

Kick back and enjoy with some good sunday morning sounds of your choice... follow it up with a Balinese breakfast (nasi goreng).
Dayamn. What time's breakfast on Sunday?
6am!
6am ?

damned good stuff Stu, not enough people know what it's like to be up and about at that time of the day (some may even deny that 6am even exists !)
there was a time, back in the day, when the only thing I knew about 6am was that it was probably about time to head home...
Doh. I'm 6am Mon-Sat... Maybe some changes are in order...
We had imperial stout cottage pie a couple of weeks ago. Went down really well. Would probably do the meat in the crockpot next time to really let the flavours come out throughout the day.

Pale ale in mexican food, particularly nachos, goes really well with a dash of fresh orange juice. Tequilla and orange is also tops in nachos too.
I just had Burittos with the two monsters last night... then Steve Nally tells me they're doing Mexican and the Monsters at his "flagon clu" this week... now you mention this. I've got refried black beans and smoky chipotle sauce on my mind! Hungry.
Rauchbier Schnitzel even sounds good to a (current) vegetarian
will you wear your lederhosen for that one?
rough as but it is with you now...
