Shame its not slightly deeper as it could be the whole kit and caboodle,

Was thinking about using one of the stainless prep benches that they chuck on trade me for a couple of hundred for a stand, should fit 3 100L pots nicely

You need to get the SSR output which I think is the VR model if you want to drive the current by a SSR.

"D1S - VR - 220"   if 240v switching say a 20-40A SSR

 

Thanks for that info Peter they are on their way I am possibly going to have 3 x 40A SSR's spare if anyone needs any as the best deal came with them

Just a few beer porn photos of my rig. Ill be the first to admit not as high tech as some of the other but works fine and pretty stoked with it.

Specs are as follows .

-Originally a 135 litre 1991 HWC with a 2000w heating element inside.

-both ends have domed bottoms so zero loss in the head space

-3/4 " pipes leading out to 3/4' 3 piece ball valves which reduce to 1/2' 

- all SS 304 grade male to female quick disconnects and tubing 

- run off cheap pumps off ebay (will upgrade when the money is about) one is used to recirc the heating water and the other is to recirc the wort

- 3' dial kegking thermometer 

-  Both PID's used are from Auber one is ramp/soak and the other 1/16 DIN temp controler

- The extra bolts in the photo with the 2000w element, i drilled in to keep the 20m coper coil off the element

If you want to know anything else i.e. pitfalls i found out just let me know

I have hunted and tried to work it out but I keep getting weird numbers on how many amps the camco 5500w elements are I am trying to work out what I need before paying a sparky to wire everything up for me

Current = Power/Voltage = 5500/230 = 24 Amps
