This seems a pretty worth cause. I agree, totally over having a fridge full of bad beer to choose from in the Koru lounges as well as on the plane.  If they serve champagne in BC and PPE they can certainly stretch to a few craft ales. They have after all presented good write ups on Epic, Emersons and Renaissance (to name a few) in their Ki Ora mag.

Have you tried asking them to stock craft beer?

Mata has had their beer in the lounges on occasions.
Yeah, Facebook pages do nothing really. Actually doing something is far more effective...
On the contrary, companies like Vodafone and Air NZ are both fairly well known for keeping a very close eye on public opinion, as expressed on facebook, twitter, and the like. They are a couple of the new wave of tech savvy companies who use "the tubes" as a feedback mechanism and and also actively get involved.

While I seriously doubt that this will do much to get craft beer on the planes (canning, pricing, weight, so many issues that I know Luke and others are aware of), seeing some consumer demand in this form might get them to at least consider the possibility of stocking something interesting in their lounges. It costs nothing to try, so why wouldn't you? :)
Must be said, I'd gladly pay $10 for an Epic on a flight than get a free can of their usual offerings....
Here's an interesting snippet from Air New Zealand's latest e-newsletter. Referring to new services soon to be offered to Business Premier passengers it says...

"Even when flying, we know breakfast kick starts a great day, so we'll prepare your eggs just how you like them and make sure the coffee's freshly ground.
We'll also have some fun events to enjoy - join us for a wine tasting in the kitchen, then settle back with a glass of whatever takes your fancy."

Pity they don't apply the same thought and consideration in their choice of beers!

"You'll pass on the Export Gold sir? Well can I offer you a cheeky little Heineken, or perhaps a Steinlager?"
Realistically id say the only breweries that could afford to set up for canning in those mini airplane cans would be a mass mega brewery like LN or DB?? I note you can get James Squires beers on Quantas now, but thats basically a LN beer isnt it?

Or maybe Leigh Sawmill could start ordering half sized cans and pitching them to Air NZ? ;o)
And here's another glimpse of Air New Zealand's attention to detail with wine from its newly issued manual for cabin crew...

'"... wine must never be referred to as "red" or "white" (instead the grape variety must be named)..."

More here...
