man I have done 2 brews this week and this is dusty...

I use a drill, bugger the handle, it holds it setting well and I get a good fine crush.  I double crush wheat.   I didn't get mine from karl but paid same money on trademe.   If you intend to motoris other then a drill I would get a 1/2 inch shaft 3 roller, otherwise for $29 at bunning they do a drill that is prob only about 350rpm on low.

the hopper is an annoying 2.75kg, i am going to replace it with a large water bottle as found in water coolers in offices, with a playwood sleave (droids original ideas...)  works better as you can load and leave once motorised

Cheers Peter, thanks very much, yeah the big water bottles are a great idea, finney uses one for his mill, works a treat. what is the hopper actually made of?

$29 Drill, corded or battery?

corded...   has heaps to torque at low speeds I take a photo of it for you tonight....

hopper i think is sheetmetal like a square air con duct.

sweet, i can get customers to make a larger one for me.
